Today's outfit was inspired by @beeandpuppycat ! 💖🌸✨ @dreams-in-inks and I celebrated our anniversary properly and really enjoyed the weather. 🌞

My new, official Puppycat plush arrived today as well! I feel so lucky to have one of the original, official Puppycat plushes, (the talking one,) fan-made plushes, and now this one. Bee and Puppycat is tied for my favourite animation/comics. It's particularly emotional for me, and I'll always hold it so close to my heart.

I’ve been bedridden for weeks now and in constant pain for even longer and that means I’ve mostly been wearing pjs and oversized tee shirts but y’know what.

Today I dressed up and I’m super cute af and, yeah, back in bed immediately after getting dressed, but so what. I’m hella adorable and my illnesses can go fuck themselves because they will never take my flowers and glittery knee hearts.

Monday is my 30th birthday, my birthday weekend was amazing! I discovered our wreath on the front door has a House Finch's nest with 5 little blue eggies in it, and I have officially lost 25 pounds! Thursday night, I had a light flare up that is still kickin, but I'm thankful it's totally bearable. On Friday, my best friend flew in as a surprise for the weekend. I was so shocked to come home to find her jumping out from behind the couch yelling surprise, I threw my groceries and gave her the biggest hug. We talked non-stop, and I got to feel her sweet baby boy kick 🥺 (she's 6 months pregnant.) I didn't sleep because I was so uncomfortable in my lower body ☹ Saturday, my best friend dyed and curled my hair, and I got dressed up in my sequin jumpsuit, matching mask, and chunky heels. I felt amazing, and I posted lots of selfies with no shame. My boyfriend took us to my favorite lounge for a nice dinner and live music (it was his actual birthday, too.) That was so fun and the food was perfect, and then we made a stop at Voodoo donuts for munchies. Part of me wanted to stay downtown and party, but knew it was best to go home and get some sleep. I said goodbye to best friend and dropped her off at the airport earlier, and in a bit I'm going to my favorite (Italian) buffet with my Mama. My actual birthday will be spent sleeping in and cleaning the neglected house 😂 In other good news, Tuesday I have an interview for an amazing opportunity, and Wednesday I get my first round of the covid vaccine. I'm nervous that will cause a bigger flare but its better than the alternative. I also started a mostly all natural and Vegan skincare routine that is making a difference already, and my dog is doing better already on her new CBD regiment. Feeling blessed, loved, and joyful 🥰 Wishing peace and light to everyone ✌💞

Yesterday we went to the American Writers Museum ! The exhibits I was able to spend with were poignant and powerful. I look forward to returning many times to absorb more.

We had more planned for the weekend, but apparently so did my body, so today is a rest day, I think. 🌸

It's hard to see in the photo, but the shoes I'm wearing are by Sven Clogs . I know they don't go with the aesthetic of my outfit, but they are really cute and feel amazing for my hips and lower back!

Sven Clogs gifted them to me years ago in exchange for review, and I wanted to give a follow up 4 years later now that I'm using my rollator. I started off wearing them with a pair of thick-ish socks and insoles because they are a bit big on me. As the day wore on and I became more swollen, I removed my socks, and it worked out great.

Since I've been walking more, I've been reminded how important quality shoes are! I can't get away with wearing unsupportive shoes. I've been having a lot of luck with shoe brands that doctors and nurses wear.

Companies tend to put a lot more effort into creating cute and functional shoes for doctors and nurses than disabled people with some of the exact needs disabled people are looking for. But, that very long discussion is for another post...

Pardon for being a bit disheveled in these photos! I have to purchase most of my clothing too big, so I tie straps of dresses, et cetera, with ribbons such that they do not fall off my shoulders.
